How it works

Built for readers and creators

Whether you follow great writers or publish your own work — Tidnum is designed for both.

1
Come in from a creator you already follow
You're probably here because someone sent you. That's how it works — every creator on Tidnum has their own page. You subscribe to them directly, not to an algorithm-driven feed.
2
Choose your tier
Every creator sets their own tiers and what each unlocks — posts, videos, podcasts, community access, whatever they make. Pick the level that makes sense. Pay monthly. Cancel any time.
3
Your money goes directly to the creator
No ads. The relationship is clean: you pay them, they make things for you. After a small platform fee and Stripe's payment processing, the creator receives nearly all of it.

Lower fee. All the features.

Platform fees are the single biggest variable in what you earn. We keep ours low — and fixed.

6%
Tidnum platform fee
Flat. Always. No premium plan required to get this rate. Every creator on Tidnum pays 6% — from day one, at any revenue level.
10%
Competitor A platform fee
Some competitors charge 10% of all subscription revenue. At $5,000/mo that's $500 to them. At the same revenue on Tidnum, you'd pay $300.
8–12%
Competitor B platform fee
Other competitors charge based on your plan tier: lower tiers are very limited, mid tiers run 8%, premium tiers reach 12%. Most creators end up paying 8% or more.
Where a $100 subscription goes (after ~$3.20 Stripe fee)
Creator · $91
Creator keeps $91 (94% of post-Stripe remainder)
Tidnum platform fee: $6 (6%)
On competing platforms, that same $100 subscription can send $10 or more to the platform. On Tidnum, it's $6. Over a year at $5,000/mo MRR, the difference is $2,400 back in your pocket.
Questions

The things people ask

How is this different from competitors?
The fee. Some competitors take 10% of all subscription revenue, others take 8–12% depending on your plan. Tidnum takes 6% — period. No tiers, no upsells, no "pro" plan required to unlock basic features. If you're earning $5,000/month from subscribers, that's $300 to us vs $500 to a competitor charging 10%. At scale, the difference compounds.
What exactly does the 6% platform fee cover?
Infrastructure, payments processing overhead, and product development. Stripe's ~2.9% + 30¢ transaction fee is separate and comes off the top first — it goes straight to Stripe, not us. Of what remains after Stripe, Tidnum takes 6%. Everything else is yours.
Are there any other fees I should know about?
No. Payouts are free. There's no monthly platform subscription, no setup fee, no per-post charge. The only costs are the 6% platform fee and Stripe's standard card processing fee (~2.9% + 30¢ per transaction), which is industry-standard and unavoidable regardless of which platform you use.
How do payouts work?
Tidnum uses Stripe Connect to handle payouts. Once you connect your Stripe account, earnings accumulate and are available to withdraw on your schedule. Stripe deposits funds directly to your bank account, typically within 2 business days of a payout request.
Can I set multiple subscription tiers?
Yes. Each tier can unlock different content, so you can offer a free reading tier, a paid supporter tier, and a premium tier with direct access or community features. You set the price and what each tier includes.
What kind of content can I publish?
Long-form text posts, images, audio, and video. Posts can be set as free, subscriber-only at a specific tier, or early-access (free after a set number of days). There are no content restrictions beyond our standard acceptable use policy.
Can subscribers cancel anytime?
Yes. Subscribers can cancel or switch tiers at any time. They keep access to paid content through the end of the billing period they've already paid for. There are no cancellation fees or lock-in periods.
